Functions:
Aesthetic Enhancement:
Exhaust tips are made of stainless steel, carbon fiber or other polished metals. They are designed to enhance the visual appeal of the vehicle, giving it a sportier and more personalized look. This is particularly popular in custom or high-performance vehicles.

Sound Modification:
Certain exhaust tips are designed to alter the exhaust note, giving the vehicle a deeper, more resonant, or more aggressive sound. This effect is usually achieved in combination with a modified exhaust system.

Exhaust Flow Management:
While the impact on performance is generally minimal, exhaust tips can assist in guiding the exhaust gases out of the system, potentially reducing backpressure in some designs, which might slightly improve efficiency in high-performance vehicles.

Protection for the Exhaust System:
A well-made exhaust tip can also offer some protection to the exhaust pipe, shielding it from external damage or corrosion. By extending the exhaust outlet away from the vehicle body, it helps prevent exhaust gases from causing corrosion to the car's underbody.
